This follows a huge success at the first-ever Coastal Clean Up project in Tauranga, with an army of volunteers and other local businesses combining forces to remove over 5 TONNES OF RUBBISH from the area. This included abandoned vehicles and harmful rubbish that was leaching into the Harbour Waterways.

This year we are looking to expand the Coastal Clean Up, setting up new regional hubs along the East Coast of the North Island and running more events in different areas. The project offers a fun day out for the family with a volunteer lunch and entertainment, while also making a positive difference to our environment.

The project is to be funded by donations from key sponsors, local businesses, and families, as well as receiving generous funding generated from the Calcutta Jackpot being run at the 2023 Stoney Creek One Base Fishing Tournament in March.

We are looking to continue to build teams of volunteers, team leads, regional hubs, and supporters for current and future projects across New Zealand.
