SUMMARY:Community Clean Up - Sulphur Point
DESCRIPTION:Our Backyard Trust is proud to bring back the Coastal Clean Up Project on the 15th of October 2023.\nThis follows a huge success at the first-ever Coastal Clean Up project in Tauranga\, with an army of volunteers and other local businesses combining forces to remove over 5 TONNES OF RUBBISH from the area. This included abandoned vehicles and harmful rubbish that was leaching into the Harbour Waterways.\nThis year we are looking to expand the Coastal Clean Up\, setting up new regional hubs along the East Coast of the North Island and running more events in different areas. The project offers a fun day out for the family with a volunteer lunch and entertainment\, while also making a positive difference to our environment.\nThe project is to be funded by donations from key sponsors\, local businesses\, and families\, as well as receiving generous funding generated from the Calcutta Jackpot being run at the 2023 Stoney Creek One Base Fishing Tournament in March.\nWe are looking to continue to build teams of volunteers\, team leads\, regional hubs\, and supporters for current and future projects across New Zealand.\nWill you help us make the 2023 Coastal Clean-Up Project bigger and better?\nEnvirohub will be onsite to support this event to distribute clean up equipment\, kids activity and spot prizes.\nCome join us\nFind out more here
