Miniature Magic: Build a tiny world filled with whimsy and charm inside a teacup! Learn the art of miniature garden design with tiny decorative elements to create a magical world for tiny plants and mini clay fungi.
Mini clay sculpting: Dive into the art of polymer clay crafting as you mould and shape tiny mushrooms under the guidance of Bobbi Summers, who has over 20 years experience working with this special oven-bake clay. Personalize your mushrooms with intricate details then add them to your tiny garden.
Express Your Creativity: This workshop encourages creativity and individual expression. Craft a unique tiny teacup garden that reflects your style and imagination, and sculpt tiny clay mushrooms to inhabit your mini potted world.
Connection and Community: Share the joy of crafting with like-minded individuals in a fun and welcoming environment.
Learn all about mushrooms: Bobbi will teach you about the different types of mushrooms found in NZ while you sculpt your own.
Event Details:
Date and Time: Monday 21st April (Easter Monday), 1-3pm (2 hours)
Location: Envirohub, 31B Glasgow street, Tauranga
What's supplied: A plant, soil, gravel, decorative stones and shells, a few tiny decorations, and everything needed to make a set of little clay mushrooms.
What to bring: A teacup to use as the vessel for your garden - recommended between 7 and 10cm in diameter. There are heaps available from local second hand shops, in many designs and styles, for between $1 and $4 each. We will also have a range of second hand teacups available for $2ea if you can't find your own. You are welcome to bring along any special items you would like to add (shells, pebbles, buttons, etc).
