Bug Hotel Workshop (TGA) 🦋 Encourage biodiversity in your garden
Join us at Envirohub HQ, 31b Glasgow Street, Tauranga from 10am - 3pm on Sunday 13th of August to make your own bug hotel to take home!

Bug hotels are a fun way to help increase your garden's biodiversity and have fun crafting with recycled materials. Beautiful gardens are often very tidy and clear of all the stuff insects like to make their home in, like dead leaves, branches and other natural materials. By constructing a bug hotel, you are ensuring there is a safe, dry place for our native insects to nest in within our cities, and as an added bonus, some insects can be very beneficial to your garden too!

For $10 pp we will provide you with all the tools you need to help you construct your wooden bug hotel out of recycled wood and the natural materials to fill it as well

You will then be able to take home a pretty bug hotel that's ready to start accepting guests!

This workshop is suitable for all children 8 and above. Children 8- 14 must be accompanied by an adult
🧑🧒
Please be aware the wood we are using is not recycled from pallets so splinters are a possibility especially for small hands. Please bring gardening gloves if this is a concern
This workshop will be held under cover, so it will go ahead regardless of weather conditions.
