Grow On Katikati is a community-led organisation focused on increasing food resilience in our area. Our mission is "Connecting and Empowering Locals by Sharing Seeds, Seedlings and Skills". Our vision is "Fresh Food for All, from Seed to Table".
Members of HELP Waihi have a common interest in our environment. A number are long-standing – being founder members in 1997. However, we welcome new members who can join in with our nursery propagation mornings or our voluntary planting activities.

Short Introduction
We are a small care group who have been working in our local reserve off and on for nearly 20 years. We meet once or twice weekly on a Wednesday/Thursday morning. We concentrate mostly on removing weeds from the reserve and maintaining new plants that are planted in our yearly planting blitz. Local school often help with this planting. Plants are have been generously donated by the regional and city councils.
OUR VISION/TŪRUAPŌ – Katikati is a place where ALL people and nature thrive. OUR MISSION/WHAKATAKANGA - We enable and empower Katikati people to pursue their dreams for community-led initiatives.
The Kawerau Urban Food Forest (KUFF) project was launched in Febuary 2017 to create an avenue for edcuation and access to healthy options. Creating and promoting sustainability with a community driven approach.
Keep Mauao Clean is just a group of people striving to see our beautiful mount preserved, actively collecting rubbish and bringing awareness to the problem
