A lot has been achieved since the wetland restoration at Lake Okareka began in 2020.

Bats are abundant and bitterns have recently been recorded.  Native koaro  swim in the stream that bisects the wetland.

Join F&B Rotorua branch for a walk through this developing project, learn about the geological history of the area, see the  progress and hear about the plans.
