SUMMARY:Lake Okareka Wetlands restoration project
DESCRIPTION:A lot has been achieved since the wetland restoration at Lake Okareka began in 2020.\nBats are abundant and bitterns have recently been recorded.  Native koaro  swim in the stream that bisects the wetland.\nJoin F&B Rotorua branch for a walk through this developing project\, learn about the geological history of the area\, see the  progress and hear about the plans.\n\nDate: Saturday 15 November\nTime: 1.30pm\nMeet at Boyes Beach\nAfternoon tea will be provided to follow\nRegistration required. Please register by November 13.\nOnly those who are registered will be contacted in the event of cancellation.\nLeaders: Mike Goodwin and Brian Law
