Our aim is to monitor and protect the Pilot Bay habitat and environment. One of our members walk the beach every day, ensuring the beach is clean, and debris free in the process. We liaise with the coast care co-ordinator and Park Ranger, and have assisted with plantings, as well as assisted in the rescue of wildlife, when appropriate. Several of our members now patrol the surf beach also, and when numbers permit, we may man the other side on a daily rostered basis also (as we do along Pilot Bay).
