In 2012 EnviroHub Bay of Plenty received seed funding from the Bay of Plenty Regional Council to facilitate the development of a Regional Environment Network (REN), in response to grassroots community groups across the region identifying a need for greater collaboration, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities within the community and across different groups and organisations.

The network is open to groups in the BOP that are involved in protecting and caring for the health of our physical environment and communities – from care groups to recycling initiatives, to maara kai and community gardens. They have the opportunity via this network to be part of a collective voice for our region’s environment.

If you are involved with a project not listed in our Directory, get in touch to get registered. It’s free to join. Membership offers support in the form of monthly newsletters, network and training events and the annual Regional Environment Network (REN) Hui.

From Flora to Fauna, Birds to Bees, Pests to Natives, if you have a particular interest or passion in the environment, we’ve got a group in our extensive network that you can connect and learn with. Feel free to search the directories to find your match.
