Join Rebecca, a nutritionist and nature lover for a wander along the seashore to learn about seaweed and seaweed foraging. We will focus on delicious and nutritious edible seaweeds commonly found in the area.
You’ll leave this workshop eager and able to forage for your own seaweed and know what to do with it.
Outcomes
⦁ Be able to identify a variety of edible seaweed species
⦁ Learn the different ways to introduce it into your diet
⦁ Understand the basic principles of foraging
⦁ Learn ideas and recipes for maximising flavour and nutrition
What you’ll need on the day
⦁ Sun protection
⦁ Reef shoes or something suitable for wading in the water
⦁ A bag or basket for collecting seaweed – something that drains well
⦁ A knife or scissors to cut away the seaweed
