Step into the weirdly wonderful world of fungi!
Meet fungi experts, hunt for glowing mushrooms, create a mini masterpiece, experience science you can touch, see bright and colourful costumes and explore a market of fungi-themed stalls.
We will have:
- Education hub - with Peter Buchanan, Mycologist and Science Team Leader at Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research
- Giant fungi photo wall
- Pottery making zone with The Pottery Studio Tauranga ($2ea)
- Food and beverage vendors
- Biolume Room - navigate with mini UV lights (Free)
- Mushroom products and creative stalls (spaces still available)
- Tattoo green room (bookings: first come, first served -cash only)
- Colouring in competition designed by local creative Emma James-Ries
- And it's all fungi and mushroom themed!!
Head to the pottery zone and make your own little clay mushroom. Only $2 each to create a mini work of art. Want it fired to keep forever? Pay an extra $3 and it will head off to the kilns at The Pottery Studio Tauranga.
Turn up in a fungi inspired costume for your chance to win a big prize. Prize entry closes at 1pm and will be announced at 1:30pm. Spot prizes for creative ingenuity and clever upcycling. Please make sure you register upon arrival to be in the draw to win.
