Following the incredible success of our previous clean up events, volunteers and local businesses have banded together to remove over 11 TONNES OF RUBBISH from our coastlines including abandoned vehicles and harmful waste polluting our harbour waterways.

New for 2025 Friday the 16th of May will be our dedicated Schools and Business Day a fresh initiative designed to get students, teachers, and local organisations involved in real, hands on environmental action. It’s an opportunity to educate and inspire the next generation while encouraging businesses to give back to the communities they are a part of.

This year we’re expanding the Coastal Clean Up with new regional hubs along the East Coast of the North Island bringing more events to more places. It’s a meaningful day out for the whole family complete with a volunteer lunch and entertainment and a powerful way to protect our environment.

The project is funded by donations from generous sponsors, local businesses, and families.

We’re on the lookout for volunteers and supporters to help us grow this kaupapa across Aotearoa.
