Come down to Pacific Parade, Coastlands for another awesome Coast Care working bee.
Bring your friends and family and help protect and restore our precious sand dunes. Led by your local Coast Care restoration coordinator, Amy, we'll be planting dune plants.
Dune planting is easy and good fun with like-minded people, so come along and ‘dig’ in (if you’re bringing littles ones, please ensure you’re ready and able to help them).

Where: Meet at the beach access on Pacific Parade, Coastlands (look out for the Coast Care flags).

Date: Sunday 20 July 2025

Time: 9.30am to 11.00am

What you need to bring:
* Gardening gloves (we will have some on hand, but you may prefer to bring your own)
* Sturdy, covered walking shoes/boots (no jandals or bare feet please)
* Sunhat, water and a raincoat (just in case).

Please keep an eye on the weather forecasts. If MetService issues a red weather warning, this event will be cancelled.
This is part of a regular programme of planting events to help restore our precious sand dunes – the backbone of our beaches and the first line of defence against coastal storm surge
