Coast Care working bee- Pāpāmoa Surf Life Saving Club

Join us at Pāpāmoa Beach Surf Lifesaving Club for another awesome Coast Care working bee.
Bring your friends and family and help us protect and restore our precious sand dunes. Led by your local Coast Care restoration coordinator, Max, we'll be planting Spinafex and Pīngao, the sand-binding dune plants.
Dune planting is easy and good fun with like-minded people, so come along and ‘dig’ in (if you’re bringing littles ones, please ensure you’re ready and able to help them).

🟦 What you need to bring:
* Gardening gloves (we will have some on hand, but you may prefer to bring your own)
* Sturdy, covered walking shoes/boots (no jandals or bare feet please)
* Sunhat, water and a raincoat (just in case).
☔ Please keep an eye on the weather forecasts. If MetService issues a red weather warning, this event will be cancelled. If this event is cancelled, the rain date will be on Sunday 25 May.
This is part of a regular programme of planting events to help restore our precious sand dunes – the backbone of our beaches and the first line of defence against coastal storm surge!
