Bug hotels are a fun way to help increase your garden's biodiversity and have fun crafting with recycled materials. Beautiful gardens are often very tidy and clear of all the stuff insects like to make their home in, like dead leaves, branches and other natural materials. By constructing a bug hotel, you are ensuring there is a safe, dry place for our native insects to nest in within our cities, and as an added bonus, some insects can be very beneficial to your garden too! 

For $10 per bug hotel we will provide you with all the materials you need to help you construct your wooden bug hotel out of wood and the natural materials to fill it as well  You will then be able to take home a pretty bug hotel that's ready to start accepting guests!

This workshop is suitable for both adults or children 8 and above. Children 8- 14 must be accompanied by an adult 🧑‍🧒

Please be aware some of the wood we are using is recycled from pallets, so splinters are a possibility especially for small hands. Please bring gardening gloves if this is a concern This workshop will be held under cover, so it will go ahead regardless of weather conditions.
