Reversing Biodiversity Decline

Aongatete Forest Project are delighted to have our patron, Professor Bruce Clarkson ONZM, as guest speaker for this year’s public meeting.
Don’t miss this chance to hear from one of New Zealand’s foremost authorities on ecological restoration. Bruce has made significant contributions to conservation through his ongoing research, education, protection, and restoration of native plants and ecosystems.
Since 2016 he has led ‘People, Cities and Nature’, a research programme focusing on restoring damaged or depleted indigenous ecosystems in urban environments.
Tonight he’ll share the history of and prognosis for reversing biodiversity in Aotearoa NZ, from his perspective of a 40-year involvement in ecology and its interface with government policy. Find out what's going well (spoiler, there's plenty to be positive about) and how & where there is more to be done.
Free event, all welcome. Light supper to be served after Bruce's talk
