Since 2016 he has led ‘People, Cities and Nature’, a research programme focusing on restoring damaged or depleted indigenous ecosystems in urban environments.

Tonight he’ll share the history of and prognosis for reversing biodiversity in Aotearoa NZ, from his perspective of a 40-year involvement in ecology and its interface with government policy.
