Connect and hear from local groups working to support and grow biodiversity in our neighbourhood.
Who will you hear from?
- Rotorua Honey Bee Club - all about bees! Display hive and honey tasting.
- Linton Park Community Centre's Whenua Warrior - all about your maara kai. Olla pot and in ground worm farm demos.
- Rotorua Seed Library - Save seed with the Seed Library Kaitiaki and guided seed saving walks around the gardens.
- Rotorua Lakes Council - Hear all about FOGO (organics waste collection coming to Rotorua this year!) and composting 101.
- Forest & Bird - Guided walking tours of an urban park restoration project. Learn about the Linton Park West Project to remove pest plants and help our native habitat thrive.
- Predator Free Rotorua - Join the backyard trapping movement and sign up with a free rat trap
