Embark on a creative journey into the unusual world of fungi with the Fungi Fest NZ team!. Join us for a day of enjoyable hands-on experiences where you'll have the opportunity to make your own whimsical mushroom themed creations.
There will be 6 activities to choose from:
- Mushroom garden spike painting
- Fungi garland making
- Stamped paper bag cards

How does it work?
It's $10 to register and this will get you 4 activity tokens to use on whichever activities you prefer - you can only do each activity once. You may buy up to 2 extra tokens ($2.50 each) on the day if you want to do more activities. How many you do is entirely up to you!
What to Expect:
Lots of upcycling: Our activities have a focus on sustainability and using everyday items to make something new and exciting.
Learn all about mushrooms: The team will teach you about the different types of mushrooms found in NZ while you create.
Colouring zone: spend some time colouring in this year's Fungi Fest NZ colouring competition sheet to go in the draw to win a cool prize! - These sheets will also be available from Saturday 29th March at all Tauranga Libraries - Tauranga City, Greerton, Papamoa and The Mount.
Connection and Community: Share the joy of crafting with like-minded individuals in a fun and welcoming environment.
Mushroom photo wall: take a seat on an Amanita Muscaria (commonly called a toadstool) and get a photo (or 10) with the family in front of our giant mushroom photo wall! All our mushrooms were cut from old corflute election signs and hand painted by local creatives.
