Don’t biff it, repair it!
Join us at the Rotorua Repair Café on Saturday 15th June, 10am – 12pm. The Rotorua Repair Café is a free pop-up event for locals to bring in broken or damaged belongings with local volunteer experts doing their best to repair them. Let’s work together to reduce waste to landfill!

Where is it?
Te Rūnanga Tea House located in the Government Gardens. There are a number of free and paid parking areas within proximity and the venue is just a five-minute walk from the Arawa Street bus stop.
How does it work?

Pre-register: you can do this here:

Bring Parts: If your item requires parts, you need to purchase these and bring them with you to the event.

Attend / Sign in: you’ll be paired with one of our volunteer repairers who will work with you to identify the issue and potential solution.

Be Patient & Kind: our volunteers will do their best to repair or advise next steps but we can’t guarantee everything you bring in will be able to be fixed.
What else will be there?
A kid’s tinker table is available to keep little ones busy, colouring in and often repair demonstrations.
Is there a cost?
The Rotorua Repair Café is free to attend. Koha is encouraged to enable this service to continue. Please find this during registration or find our white donation bucket at the event, we appreciate it. If your item needs parts, you may be asked to purchase or supply these and re-book for repair if time allows or for a slot at the next event.
