SUMMARY:Zero Waste Pattern Making - Rotorua Envirohub
DESCRIPTION:Calling all Rotorua current or aspiring sewists!\nStep into the world of zero waste fashion with Emma La Rocca of Emroce Zero Waste Swimwear for a fun sewing workshop.\nWe welcome beginners to experienced sewists to learn zero-waste pattern-making and marker-making techniques to integrate at home and ultimately reduce fabric waste.   Through paper folding exercises and tessellating shapes\, Emma will guide you through simple steps to create your very own zero waste pattern.\n\nWhen: 6.00pm\, Thursday\, August 20th\nWhere: Studio 2\, The Arts Village\, 1240 Hinemaru St\, Rotorua 3010\nTickets: $20 per person. REGISTRATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL.\nWhat to Bring: Pattern making equipment – eg. pens & pencils\, ruler\, set square\, scissors\, sellotape\, sketch books/paper\, calculator. A pattern and its cutting plan to adapt if we have time.\n\nAbout Emroce\nEmroce is the only zero waste swimwear brand in the world\, cutting all items from tessellating patterns so that no fabric is discarded\, so understandably\, we are very excited to learn from her.
