DESCRIPTION:Get ready for the first annual ‘Waddle the Mount’! A penguin-themed charity fun-run around Mount Maunganui’s base track. 👣  👣  👣 \nSupport the Kororā (little blue penguins) and the Western Bay Wildlife Trust.  🏅 Penguin themed dress up is encouraged\, with spot prizes up for grabs and free activities for the whole family. \nStarting on the grass outside the Mount Lifeguard service. Arrive\, check in (to be entered in the spot prize draws) and show off your Penguin costume! \n🏅 This is not a speed race\, but there maybe some spot prizes for those who “Waddle” the fastest. \n 🐧When: Saturday 29th March\, 9am – 11am \n 🐧Where: Meet on the grass near the surf club\, surf side of the Mount \n 🐧Tickets: $10 minimum donation per Adult. Koha entry for Kids 16 or under. Register HERE \nWhat to Expect: \n 🐧 Dress Code: Penguin themed dress-up is encouraged! Get creative\, whether you’re a stylish penguin\, a sporty penguin\, or a waddling pro. \nDOWNLOAD A FREE PAPER MASK HERE \n 🐧 Activities: Enjoy a fun walk around the base track with fellow penguin lovers\, compete for prizes like Best Dressed and Best Waddle\, and share some laughs along the way. \n 🐧 Community Spirit: Whether you’re walking with friends\, family\, colleagues\, or classmates\, this is a great opportunity to bond and make memories while supporting a vital local cause. \nAll proceeds from tickets and donations will go to Western Bay Wildlife Trust\, the guardians of the Mount’s Little Blue Penguins. \n \nConditions: We may be photographing the event\, please let us know when you arrive\, if you do not want to be in any photos.
