DESCRIPTION: Don’t biff it\, repair it! \nJoin us at the Rotorua Repair Café on Saturday 16 December\, 10am – 1pm.\nThe Rotorua Repair Café is a free pop-up event for locals to bring in broken or damaged belongings with local volunteer experts doing their best to repair them. Let’s work together reducing waste to landfill!\n What kind of things can I bring to be repaired?\nRepairs depend on the volunteer expertise we have on the day. Email recycling@rotorualc.nz if you would be interested in signing up as a volunteer.\n Where is it?\nOur December Repair Café will be at the Te Rūnanga Tea House located in the Government Gardens. There’s a number of free and paid parking areas within proximity and the venue is just a five minute walk from the Arawa Street bus stop.\n How does it work?\n You’ll need to register to attend so we have an idea of what is coming to be fixed.\n Following registration\, we’ll give you a timeframe on when you can expect to be seen.\n Upon arrival\, you’ll be paired with one of our volunteer repairers who will work with you to identify the issue and potential solution.\nWe can’t guarantee everything you bring in will be able to be fixed – our volunteers will do their best (you may need to purchase or supply parts).\n REGISTER HERE: https://events.humanitix.com/rotorua-repair-cafe-2024?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR0he6YQyHDynReBvUTfajEY5Db6z5RuwdTManO9NDXdvtTUGl_npJd8hSA_aem_28RpgIPNmBvTHtS6zUk5bw\n Remember this is a free service to encourage waste reduction and our fix-it experts are volunteering their time and skills to help where they can.\n What else will be there?\nThere will be some light refreshments while you wait\, a kid’s tinker table to keep little ones busy and a repair demonstration by the DIY Shed Rotorua! There’s an opportunity to koha Repair Café Aotearoa\, where donations help to keep supporting groups build a culture of repair throughout the country.
