DESCRIPTION:Date: Sunday July 9th\nTime: 2pm – 4pm\nLocation: Envirohub\, 31 Glasgow Street\, Tauranga.\nPrice: $10 pp \n✨Join us at Envirohub to learn how to make a pair of Matatini grade Poi from recycled materials. You will learn the stories and whakapapa of poi and also learn a poi dance and waiata✨ \nOur tutor Kathy Rawinia Murray is an experienced kapa haka performer who has been making Matatini grade poi and jewellery for 30 years for over 60 teams throughout Aotearoa\, Australia and for 10 National Matatini Roopu. \nKathy’s purpose is to give everyone the chance to experience Poi.\n✨To keep our Maori culture and our traditional values alive.\n✨To tell our stories\, to tell our history\, to teach the meaning of the movements in poi.\n✨To help you make your own poi\, so you can then teach somebody else and pass on the learning. \nAll ages are welcome\, but children 8 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult. \nTickets: https://events.humanitix.com/recycled-poi-workshop-celebrate-matariki-at-envirohub
