DESCRIPTION:Join the conversation about our 10-year plan – have TCC got it right? \nIn a nutshell the plan is focused on investing in the future\, doing the mahi\, and making things fairer along the way. \nOne of our key considerations is to keep costs and rates increase as low as possible by delaying or deferring some projects\, while making sure everyone is paying a fair share to help ease the burden on general ratepayers. \nIt’s a balancing act between the investment our city needs today and in the future\, and what we can afford in the face of increasing delivery costs\, rising interest rates and the cost of living. \nWe know it’s a hard time to talk about the investment the city needs\, and we want to know if you think we have that balance right. \nIn particular\, we’re keen for your thoughts on: \n\nOur infrastructure – should industrial ratepayers pay more?\nKey infrastructure for growth – who should pay the shortfall?\nReducing traffic congestion – switch lanes and try a different solution?\nDevelopment in the city – will incentives help us grow our city?\nSports fields and boat ramps – should users pay to play?\nA community stadium – this decade\, the next or never?\nCar parking buildings – sell up\, or park the idea?\n\nThere are lots of way to share your feedback online or you can attend one of our community events: \nDrop-in sessions (drop in anytime for a quick chat) \n\nSaturday\, 18 November\, 9.30am to 5pm: Bayfair Shopping Centre\, Arataki\nMonday\, 20 November\, 11am to 1pm: Mount Hub\, 9 Prince Avenue\, Mount Maunganui\nSaturday\, 25 November\, 9am to 2pm: Mount – Little Big Market\, Coronation Park\nSaturday 2 December\, 9am to 2pm: Pāpāmoa – Little Big Market\, Pāpāmoa Pony Club\nSunday\, 3 December\, 10am to 1pm: Bethlehem Town Centre\nMonday\, 4 December\, 6pm to 7.30pm: 306 Cameron Road\nSaturday\, 9 December\, 10am to 2pm: The Crossing\, Tauriko\nWednesday\, 13 December\, 7:30am to 9am: 306 Cameron Road\n\nEvening event  \n\nWednesday\, 22 November\, 5.30pm to 7pm: Western Bay of Plenty District Council Chambers\, Barkes Corner (join us for a presentation-style look at the 10-year plan and learn more about SmartTrip – an idea for helping to solve traffic congestion)\n\nFind out more and share your thoughts at: letstalk.tauranga.govt.nz/longtermplan
