SUMMARY:Identifying NZ Birds
DESCRIPTION:This Identifying NZ Birds training unit is designed not to teach you every species of bird\, but is instead intended to teach you how to identify birds. \nYou will learn the steps to take to identify birds both by sight and sound in the field\, as well as using other methods. You will also learn how to identify bird sounds. The  day will be spent in the field practising hands-on skills with the variety of birds we find around us. \nThis training unit will be held on Saturday 14 November 2026 (8:00am – 3:00pm) at Kaituna Scenic Reserve\, Maketū.* \n*Note:\n\nUnsuitable weather conditions (or other unforeseen circumstances) may mean we have to postpone this day. Once enrolled\, any updates will be available in the course ‘Announcements’ tab no later than 8:00pm on Friday 13 November.\nMinimum enrolment numbers are required for this training day to go ahead.\nSee FAQs for Ts & Cs\nThis training day will be run in other areas of the Bay of Plenty throughout the year. To keep up-to-date with new days/places follow us on facebook.
