DESCRIPTION:Come along to our workshop to learn about harakeke. \nThe Nga Ara o Tapora Charitable trust welcomes you to our workshop to harvest\, process & weave putiputi (flowers) with us. \nThis is a chance for you to gain knowledge about the harakeke plant\, and learn how to cut and prepare it properly for weaving. \nThis workshop will include:\n-Cultural practices of working within raranga tikanga. \n-Light snack: Steamed Hangi – done in the steam box. \nThere are limited spots available so get in quick to register.\nTickets cost $10 per person and include a light lunch.
