SUMMARY:Good Tides Festival
DESCRIPTION:Good Tides – An afternoon of wellness\, waves\, and waste-free action \n\n\n\nJoin us for a fun filled community beach day! Whether you’re keen to stretch it out\, hit the surf\, learn about our dunes\, or get hands-on with a beach clean\, there’s something for everyone.\n\n\n\nActivities include:\n 1pm Yoga with Siomara\n 1:30pm Group Surf (Hire if needed from Hakanini Surf school and Rentals – Papamoa\n 2:30pm Ocean Conservation talk from Smidge Suncare\n 3pm Dune Talk with Max Langdon from Coast Care Bay of Plenty\n 4pm Beach Clean with Envirohub Bay of Plenty\n 4:30pm Kids Bikini Workshop (registration required) with Emroce – Register here\n 4-5pm Sound Bath (registration required) with Ruth Holden Sound – Register here\n\n\n\nThroughout the whole day we will also have:\n Lady Babz spinning funk / soul / hip hop / disco\nSwimwear repair with Emroce from $10\n Capoeira tutorial with Capoeira Tauranga\n Balance board demos\nSwimwear repair with Emroce from $10\n\n\n\nThis is a free event! Some workshops may have a small fee or koha\, so bring a little cash just in case.\n\n\nCome for one activity or stay for the whole afternoon and care for our coastline together \n\n\n\n\nWhen: Friday 6th March\, 1pm \nWhere: Papamoa Domain \nTickets: Free \nAccessibility – We want everyone to feel welcome at our events\, if you have any physical\, sensory\, or other accessibility needs\, please make contact ahead of time so we can support you.\nPhotography – Please note that photographs and videos may be taken at our events and used on our social media and website. If you or your children do not wish to be photographed\, just let a staff member or volunteer know when you arrive.\nTransport – To minimise environmental impact\, we encourage walking\, biking\, carpooling\, or using public transport to attend.
