DESCRIPTION:Coastal Care day\nJoin Outflow Trust and Envirohub for a day of Coastal Care \nAbout the event\nCome along\, get involved\, and spend a morning caring for one of our beautiful coastal spaces. \nWe’re excited to be teaming up with Envirohub Bay of Plenty for the Climate Action Festival\, running \nfrom 14–20 September 2026. To wrap up the festival on World Cleanup Day\, we’ll be gathering in \nMount Maunganui for a hands-on community day focused on looking after our coastline. \nWhether you’re passionate about the moana\, curious about microplastics\, keen to learn more about \nlocal restoration work\, or simply want to do something positive with others in the community\, we’d love \nto see you there. \nWe’ll spend the day taking small\, practical actions that make a real difference. Together we’ll \nsieve sand along the wrack line to collect microplastics\, chat about planting work around \nstormwater outlets\, and head over to Moturiki Island for a clean-up. \nEvent details\nDate: Sunday\, 20 September \nTime: 10am\nLocation: Meet at the Mt Maunganui Cenotaph\nCost: Free\, please register as this helps us communicate with you if there are changes. \nWhat to bring\n\n\nPlease bring water\, sun protection\, suitable footwear\, gardening type gloves if you have them\, and a positive attitude. Bring a friend\, bring the whānau\, or come along solo – everyone is welcome. \n\n\nOrganised by Outflow Trust  \nThis event is part of Climate Action Festival 2026\, taking place across the Bay of Plenty from 14-20 September.
