DESCRIPTION:Join Tauranga Forest & Bird for a field trip on Mauao. \n\nRegister Now\nPlease register your interest in this event so Forest and Bird can let you know of any cancellations\, postponements\, or updates. \nClick here to register \n\nThis is a great opportunity to learn about the history of our beloved mountain. Local historian and teacher\, Peter Scott will lead us around and to the summit of Mauao\, and we will stop for stories at many vantage points. \nMeet promptly at 10am in front of the Mount Maunganui Surf Lifesaving Club. \nBring lunch and drink\, walking shoes\, warm clothing and a sunhat. This is not a suitable walk for young children. \nRegistration is essential – see the link for online registration.
