DESCRIPTION:Join us for a night of celebrating sustainable fashion and local talent!\n\nWhen: Doors open at 6:00pm with the show commencing at 6:30pm\, Saturday\, July 27th\, 2024.\nWhere: The Cargo Shed\, 5 Dive Crescent\, Tauranga City\, 3110. Free weekend parking is available across the road from The Cargo Shed.\nTickets: $10 per person (includes refreshments). https://events.humanitix.com/fashion-show-48hr-second…\n\nThe fashion show/awards night will see entrants from the 48-hour Second-hand Fashion Competition show off their designs and compete for cash prizes.\nThis competition and fashion show are part of Envirohub’s Sustainable Textiles programme; designed to better connect you with the clothing you wear and understand their environmental impact.\n\nAbout the 48-hour Second-hand Fashion Competition:\n\nContestants have 48 hours to upcycle clothing destined for landfill into a ready-to-wear outfit.\nThis year’s theme is ‘My Winter Wardrobe’\, where entrants are asked to create/upcycle their ideal Winter outfit.\nTwo categories for the challenge: The open category and the high school category.\nCash prizes are up for grabs for both the first place and runner-up in both categories.\nRegistrations close July 5th.
